YOUTHSPEAK: THEIR STORY IS OUR STORY
AGES: 8-12
JUNE 26-30 | M-F | 9:00a - 4:00p
Have you ever visited a historic location and imagined what it must have been like to live and work there? Looking for Lilith and Historic Locust Grove are teaming up again this summer to bring the past to the present! During this intensive one week in-person camp, students will learn from Locust Grove interpreters what life was like in early nineteenth-century Kentucky. Using LFL’s tried and true YouthSpeak devising process, students will be crafting their own play inspired by their exploration of life and work right on the grounds, including the 1792 main house, outbuildings, formal gardens and lawns. The camp will culminate in a performance on the last day.
LFL’s dedication to amplifying unheard voices and Historic Locust Grove’s commitment to examining its full history, including the lives of those who were enslaved on the grounds, will be reflected in the activities of this camp.
Please contact Looking For Lilith Theatre Company if you have any questions.
